What is the difference between natural and flexible budgeting?
Choose whether to manage each subcategory or one overall amount per group.

Rank offers two ways to manage your monthly budget.
How to do it
- 1Go to Settings.
- 2Under Budget, open Budget mode.
- 3Choose Natural or Flexible.
- 4Return to Budget and review how amount assignment has changed.
Keep in mind
- Natural: assign an amount to each subcategory, such as Gas or Groceries. The group total is the sum of its parts.
- Flexible: assign one overall amount to a group, such as Transportation. Subcategories still show where you spent money.
- The selected mode applies to all expense groups.
